At New Life Academy each resident will be involved in helping others by participating in Community Service projects. We partner with local ministries, police,fire department, soup kitchens and other various mercy ministries. New Life Academy believes in placing our students in a position to serve people less fortunate then themselves and to visit other countries where they will see natives much more grateful with having less than what your daughter brings on the mission trip in a suitcase.
Brokenness
Nothing humbles and breaks through years of hardness & callous than having your daughter minister to little unfortunate homeless children. Its like a mirror finally being placed in front of them and they finally come to the conclusion of their ingratitude. Our overseas missions allow your daughter to "step up to the plate" and step out ofher comfort zone and want to give, give, give and serve with all her heart. We have seen girls completely broken in spirit and return grateful for what their parents have done for them. Our mission trips overseas & mercy ministries in the cities surrounding Lakeland / Orlando have a way to help students realize that they have taken so much for granted back in their home & family. Parents are welcome to these mission trips and are encouraged to see their daughters in this different light.
